I am a freelance web developer specialising in clean, efficient and accessible WordPress websites for small businesses.

I’ve been building websites for more than 20 years – meaning I can actually write and understand the underlying code. There was no WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify etc and certainly no AI to do the job for us in the naughties! And while these may be useful tools, there is no substitute for understanding what they do.

While I can build bespoke sites from scratch, WordPress is usually the most cost-effective solution for most of my clients.

Unlike many agencies, I don’t use templated themes or unnecessary plugins.
This makes my sites far more robust, easy to maintain, and perform well on Google pagespeed tests (used to rank websites in search engines).

I am based in Dorset, UK, and often travel to London, Reading and Bristol for work. However the nature of online means we can collaborate from anywhere!

I have more than a decade of agency experience, working for employers in Reading, Dorchester and London before branching out as a freelancer.
